Linearization of the sensors characteristics: a review

; Jafaripanah et al., 2017). Generally, the response of a sensor can be voltage or current, frequency or time signal. In most of the cases, the output signal varies nonlinearly with the variation of input measurement parameters. Also, in many cases, the environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, or pressure affect the sensor characteristics nonlinearly. Sometimes, these environmental factors modify the input–output relation of the sensor (Doebelin and Manik, 2011). These factors are more critical

Using ERGMs to Disaggregate Displacement Cascades*

How do civilians select internal displacement destinations during conflict? Existing research emphasizes the value of cascades as a guide to making these difficult decisions. Cascades may involve civilians following people in their social networks (community cascades), people with similar characteristics (co-ethnic cascades), or the crowd in general (herd cascades). The moments of a random vector based on the definition of the power of a vector, proposed by J. Tatar, are scalar and vector characteristics of a multivariate distribution. Analogously to the univariate case, we distinguish the uncorrected and the central moments of a random vector. Other characteristics of a multivariate distribution, i.e. an index of skewness and kurtosis, have been introduced by using the central moments of a random vector. For the application of the mentioned quantities for

The regression tree can deal with nonlinear relationships between income and the characteristics of income receivers, and it can detect which characteristics and their interactions actually play a role in explaining income
