A MAC AND ONE-WAY FUNCTION BASED FILTERING SCHEME

In optical sensor networks, the adversary can inject false reports and old packets, both of which can cause false alarms and drain out the limited energy of the network. Existing security mechanisms can detect and filter out only false reports but not the old packets during forwarding. Furthermore, they cannot resist cooperative attacks.
