First Report of the Carolina Spiral Nematode, Scutellonema brachyurus, from Soil of a Garden in Crete, Greece

Members of the genus Scutellonema can cause substantial crop losses to ornamental and cultivated plants directly by feeding ectoparasitically on plant roots (Bridge et al., 2005; Coyne et al., 2006). The genus Scutellonema was established by Andrássy, 1958. This genus is a well-distributed genus across all continents (Kolombia et al., 2017; Nguyen et al., 2019; Sher, 1963; Van den Berg and Heyns, 1973).
