A STUDY OF THE INFLUENCE OF SOME EXPLOITATION FACTORS ON THE ATV STABILITY

An original survey among ATV riders concerning the conditions in which they lost stability is conducted. The coordinates of the center of gravity of the ATV by riders with different Body Mass Indexes are determined. A simulation program on base mechanic–mathematical model to study the ATV’s motion is used. In this base the critical sideslip velocities and critical lateral overturn velocities of ATV at various riders’ Body Mass Index, curve radius and grip coefficients were

morphological construction of the thigh’s SAT between genders using US. It is an easily accessible and cost-effective method that can be widely used in SAT assessment. The aim of our study was to define the differences in the morphology of thigh’s SAT in relation to the gender and body mass index (BMI) with ultrasound imaging. Material and method The research was conducted from September to December 2014. Written consent has been obtained from all participants. According to the medical report, all

Reference values for the cross-sectional area of the normal sciatic nerve using high-resolution ultrasonography

). Not many studies have been done in the past to determine the reference values of the cross-sectional area of the normal sciatic nerve. Thus, the present study seeks to obtain high-resolution ultrasonography images of the normal sciatic nerve, and on that basus assess possible relationships between the cross-sectional area and the patient’s age, height, weight, and body mass index (BMI)(1). Material and methods Two hundred subjects of both genders, above 18 years of age, and without any history

Reference values for the cross-sectional area of normal radial nerve at two levels using high-resolution ultrasonography

). Studies show that high-resolution ultrasonography is useful for the localization of trauma, entrapment neuropathies, and infectious conditions and neoplasms involving the peripheral nerves(4–6). The present study seeks to obtain high-resolution sonographic images of normal radial nerves to assess potential relationships between the CSA and the age, gender, height, weight, body mass index (BMI), and hand dominance of the subjects. Material and methods The study was conducted on 200 subjects

Achilles tendon degeneration on ultrasound in type 2 diabetic patients

kinematics studies to alter the foot loading pattern and pose a considerable risk for plantar ulcer)(13,14) can be readily assessed on ultrasound. This study aims to determine and analyze the prevalence, pattern, and modifying factors (age, body mass index, coexisting peripheral neuropathy, diabetes duration) of diabetic degenerative Achilles tendinopathy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in our locality. Materials and methods Eighty (80) subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and 80 age

Incidence of intrauterine abnormalities in Pakistani women with unexplained infertility diagnosed via saline infusion sonography

determined and the relationship between these pathologies and patient age and body mass index was assessed. Results: Of the 769 women included, 202 (26.3%) had uterine abnormalities. Endometrial polyp (118 cases, 15.3%) was the most common abnormality, followed by submucous fibroids (54, 7%), intrauterine adhesions (20, 2.6%), and septae (10, 5%). Intrauterine pathologies were more common in women with primary infertility (71.8% versus 28.2%, p = 0.002). Uterine abnormalities were most common in the age

The sonoanatomy of lumbar erector spinae and its iliac attachment – the potential substrate of the iliac crest pain syndrome, an ultrasound study in healthy subjects

characteristics were recorded in 25 healthy volunteers (median age: 28.92, SD: 5.31, mean Body Mass Index 22.61, SD: 3.38), with Esaote My Lab 7 machine using linear transducer (4–13 MHz).ResultsThe cadaver study confirmed the attachment of a substantial part of erector spinae to a well-defined region on the medial posterior iliac crest. The US study in the volunteers consistently showed the entheses as typical hyperechoic fibrillar structures, slightly oblique to the skin in the longitudinal plane and

Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) between 2017 and 2019. The study was approved by the Institutional Review Board at UTHSCSA prior to subject enrollment. De-identified patient data were stored securely in a RedCap database. Patients were eligible for chart review if they were between the ages of 8–18 years, had a body mass index (BMI) >85% for age, and self-identified as being of Hispanic descent. Patients were excluded from chart review if the serum AST or ALT was >200 U/L, based on previous

prevalence. We also examined the relationship between measures of network centrality and child obesity prevalence. The overall structure of the network suggests that environmental features geographically co-occur, and features of the environment that were more highly correlated with body mass index were more central to the network. Three clusters were identified: a crime-related cluster, a food-environment and land use-related cluster, and a physical activity-related cluster. The structure of connections

The efficacy of the intervention was evaluated with a battery of anthropomorphic and metabolic assessments, including weight, body mass index percentile, whole body adiposity, liver fat content, and fasting plasma glucose and lipid levels. Participants and their parents also filled out a treatment satisfaction questionnaire after study

Serum TSH level in obese children and its correlations with atherogenic lipid indicators and carotid intima media thickness

to HDL cholesterol ratio, LDL cholesterol to HDL cholesterol ratio, and intima-media thickness. In a multivariate regression analysis, thyroid-stimulating hormone weakly correlated only with intima-media thickness after adjustment for age, gender and Body Mass Index (β = 0.249, p = 0.04). This relationship weakened after considering a lipid profile (β = 0.242, p = 0.058). No relationship was found for free thyroxine. Conclusion: Serum level of thyroid-stimulating hormone in obese children did not
