Cultivation of Caenorhabditis elegans on new cheap monoxenic media without peptone

, over 50 new Caenorhabditis species have been found, many in tropical or subtropical locations in Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia (Caenorhabditis Evolution Community, 2020) and often with very little effort. Thus, many new species await to be found. The majority of nematode sampling effort has been done by researchers based or trained in Europe, Japan, or the USA. However, logistically local African, South American, and Southeast Asian scientists are better situated for sampling
